This is Day 19 of my six pack challenge.
How fast can I get a six pack is a question I asked myself right at the start of this challenge.
You can get six pack abs in 6 weeks, was my answer.
It felt about right, but of course, I had no real way of knowing for sure – it was an educated guess.
I based my guess on how much fat I thought I had still to lose and how much fat I thought I could lose every week.
I estimated at the start that I had another 15 lbs to lose, and figured on losing 10lbs per month. So I was hoping to see a flat stomach (or flatish stomach) after 6 weeks.
It’s difficult to tell whether I’ll make it. I’ve already been at the challenge for nearly 3 weeks and this last week wasn’t my best.
The weight loss pictures I’ve been taking (blurred though they are) do show some improvement.
What I have to keep in mind is that I’ve lost a lot of fat from my back, shoulders and chest – but of course, you can’t see that in the pictures.
I know I still have a lot of work to do, but I believe I could still get abs within six weeks.

I’m dying to know how much you’ve lost in lbs this month. I know that’s no the point of this part of the diet but aren’t you tempted to stand on the scales?
No, in fact, quite the opposite. I think I have an aversion to the scales!
My plan was to wait until I was four weeks in and then weigh myself. Maybe on day 28 or 29.
That gives me just over a week to see what I can achieve. The kids are back at school now and it’s much easier to stick to the plan when they’re not around, so this week could be a good one!!
So, how are you doing? (< — not in a Joey from Friends kind of way!
