The Monster Challenge: 10,000 Push ups

My goal for June 2012 is to lose enough body fat to reveal my abdominal muscles.

In order to reach that goal I’m doing the one meal a day diet.

I’ve also set myself a fantastic challenge to run a marathon 26.2 miles (1.5 miles at a time) and complete 10,000 push ups. I talked about it here.

I’ll use this page to keep a record of my activity.

Update: Having completed the marathon (check out: How to run a marathon in a month) earlier than expected I’ve added a half marathon (13 miles) to the target!

Hi David and thanks so much for writing and sharing.

Are you taking any supplements to help with your weight loss/energy at present?

Hi Grace, thanks for asking. No, I’m not taking any supplements.
One of the things I wanted to prove to myself right from the start is that it was possible to lose weight without resorting to supplements, pills and potions.
The incredible thing is, I’ve hardly been ill, and when I have, I’ve recovered very quickly. I eat a decent amount of vegetables with me main meal and eat an apple a day, so I suspect I get a lot of the vitamins and minerals through my diet and therefore haven’t needed the supplements. Which is good, because they can be expensive. Thanks again for asking!
