This is Day 4 of my attempt to get a flat stomach by the end of June. I’m doing it eating one meal a day and I’ve set myself a great challenge to do 10,000 push ups and run a marathon- 1.5 miles at a time, all by the end of the month.
I’ve got 26 days left to achieve my goals.

Weight: 173.6 lbs (Down .2)
Chest: 39 (No change)
Belly: 34.75 (Down .25)
Waist: 34.5 (Down .25)
Hips: 37 (Down .25)
I’m really pleased to see my measurements heading in the right direction. Belly, waist and hips all down.
Today has been tough. I’m hungrier than usual but to be fair, I’m doing a lot more exercise than I did in the earlier stages of my diet.
The 10,000 push up challenge is going well enough but I’m aware that I’m a little behind with the daily quota. I don’t want to get to the last week of the month and ‘find I still have 5000 push ups left to do.
So far today I’ve done 300 and with a few hours left I still have time to do another 100.
Actually, let me state that another way… I WILL do another 100 push ups before the end of the day. (I ended up doing another 150!!)
Late evening update:
There were two things I didn’t to do this evening – running and push ups… but I did them anyway. There are other days I can sit back and relax, but not today and not this month.
I managed to get past 1000 push ups today and that feels like a good milestone. 450 press ups for the day is a good number. The most I’ve ever done in a day is 500, so later this week I might try for a new record.
As far as the running goes I wanted to run 1.7 miles instead of my usual 1.5. The extra distance would have taken care of the pesky .2 of a mile (a marathon being 26.2 miles), but I although I had self discipline enough to go for a run, I couldn’t face the extra distance after running 4 days in a row. Maybe the first day back after a day off is the time to do it?
It was a good day, I feel I am making real progress!
