This is Day 9 of my attempt to get a flat stomach by the end of June. I’m doing it eating one meal a day and I’ve set myself a challenge to do 10,000 push ups and run a marathon– 1.5 miles at a time, all by the end of the month.
I’ve got 21 days left to achieve my goals.
June 9th 2012
Weight: 173.6 lbs (Down .4)
Chest: 39.0 (No change)
Belly: 34.5 (Down .25)
Waist: 34.25 (Down .25)
Hips: 37 (No change)
A drop in weight from 174 lbs to 173.6 reverses the course of the last day or so.
I’m encouraged by the result because two of my key measurements have also decreased.
My belly and waist measurements are both down by a quarter of an inch!
I did the majority of my push ups early in the day because I wanted to make sure I had time to do a few extra and get me back on the curve.
I did 580 today which takes the total to 3,340 and leaves me 6,660 to do in the 20 days remaining. If I aim to do 350 a day from now on, I’ll make the target with a day to spare.
With another 1.5 miles of my ‘marathon in a month’ completed I have 14 miles left to cover. Eight 1.5 miles runs and one 2 mile run will get me to my target and it looks like I’ll have enough time to make it happen, barring injury or illness.
Although I’ve had a good day, I was a little careless with my eating plan. I stuck to it all day and then blew it by eating too much at dinner. That lack of discipline will slow my progress which is a shame because I keep telling myself I only need to be strict for a month and then I can relax a little after that.
So here’s today’s picture, with an extra profile shot to show you how much belly fat I still need to lose.
