Six Pack Abs by Summer: Day 14

This is Day 14 of my attempt to get a flat stomach by the end of June. I’m doing it eating one meal a day and I’ve set myself a challenge to do 10,000 push ups and run a marathon– 1.5 miles at a time, all by the end of the month.

I’ve got 16 days left to achieve my goals.

Today’s Stats:

June 14th 2012

Weight: 170.8 lbs (Up .2)
Chest: 39.25 (No change)
Belly: 34 (No change)
Waist: 34 (No change)
Hips: 37 (Up .25)

The weight was up .2 this morning but that’s to be expected. As as I predicted yesterday, despite my slack day, I didn’t do any real damage.

What I am pleased about, is that I did enough push ups to break over the 5000 barrier (5,190). I really wanted to hit that milestone within the first 2 weeks. I’m not getting complacent though, that first 5000 push ups was tough. And now I have to do it all over again.

I went for a run today too and now the total mileage I need to run to reach 26.2 miles (a marathon distance) is 7.5 miles. With two weeks remaining in this challenge I feel confident I can do it.

I’ve already put in some hard work in the last two weeks but clearly, looking at my photo’s, I need to be just as dedicated for the next 2 weeks.

You are showing what dedication with a goal in mind can accomplish.
Very nice to say the least. That is crazy to even think about, over 5,000 push ups so far with 10,000 as your goal and then your running is just fantastic.
It is all downhill so to say from here. Downhill in a good way.

5000 does seem a little mad. 10,0o0 is just plain ol’ crazy.

The thing about the challenge I set for myself is it’s been tougher than the diet. So the diet in comparison seems relatively easy. It’s like you can forget you’ve stubbed your toe when someone punches you in the nose.
