This is Day 26 of my attempt to get a flat stomach by the end of June. I’m doing it eating one meal a day and I’ve set myself a challenge to do 10,000 push ups & run a marathon– 1.5 miles at a time, all by the end of the month.
I’ve got 4 days left to achieve my goals.
June 26th 2012
Weight: 173.6 lbs (Down .6 lb)
Chest: 39 (No change)
Belly: 34 (No change)
Waist: 34 (No change)
Hips: 37 (No change)
Down in weight today but no change with the tape measure.
My eating plan was going well today until my 10 year old son decided to bake a cake.
The cake plan diet
Cake was not in my plan today. Today I had planned to have a cake free day, but it wasn’t to be.
After dinner the cake was served with a great big dollop of extra thick double cream and a spoon full of lemon curd.
To be fair it was absolutely delicious and I’m glad I ate it. I’m so proud of my boy for being able to bake and there was no way I was going to tell him, “No thank you, son. Daddy is on a diet.”
He doesn’t give a crap about my diet, he wants to see his dad eating the tasty. He then wants to be told how delicious it was.
And all that would have been fine and dandy–because, as I keep pointing out, there’s the flexibility to do this kind of thing–but it led me to sneak a few other sweet treats throughout the rest of the evening.
In truth, I have absolutely no idea whether I’ve over eaten today.
Poor push-up performance
What I do know is I didn’t start cranking out my push ups until late evening.
By 11pm I had only done 160 and had to stop because I didn’t have the energy.
I took a break to write this blog post and when I’ve done I’ll get back to it and see if I can get any more done before midnight. I’ll update this post before I go to bed.
Update: That was rubbish! I only managed to get my total for the day up to 270. Boo! Get off! Rubbish!
I added another 1.5 miles to my half-marathon total. These last few days of the challenge are proving to be tough! I still need to run another 4 times!
