This is Day 31 and 32 of my Summer Six Pack Challenge.
(Formerly known as “Six Pack Abs by Summer”)
This challenge started in June 2012 with my weight at 176 lbs and on 1st July I weighed 172 lbs.
I had hoped to lose enough belly fat to reveal my abs during June, but I was somewhat sidetracked from my diet by the physical challenge I set myself.
It was worth it, but the weight loss element has now rolled over into July.
I’m currently having a couple of days off to get over the physical and mental strain, because if I’m honest about it, I put myself under a lot of pressure and it’s been pretty draining. Don’t get me wrong it was fun, but it was also very tough.
This is a good opportunity to address an email I received from a reader who was wondering whether I’d gained any muscle as a result of doing all those push ups (10,000) in June and she asked whether I’d post a picture of my chest.
I have to admit I feel a bit odd doing it… but hey, why not?
Sorry about the quality. It’s a phone camera and I’m holding the camera myself. Best I can do for now I’m afraid.
But regardless, they’re good enough to at least give you some idea of what’s going on there.

Unfortunately I haven’t got a before image, but I can assure you that my chest and arms got bigger as a result.
I lost fat from my chest and the tape measure says my chest got bigger.
You should be aware that this isn’t the work of just one month. In the two months prior I did some work to build up to the challenge.
Does this help at all, or are you unable to see past my milky-white tan-less English skin? LOL
Day 31: July 1st – 172 lbs
Day 32: July 2nd – 173 lbs (I celebrated yesterday. Don’t tell anyone!)
I have no photo’s for either of these days but I think I’ve damaged your retinas enough for one day, don’t you?
